Mission Statement

Ivy Consulting Group is founded on the premise that one-on-one tutoring is an exceptional supplement for a private or public school curriculum. The underlying goal of our company is to maximize the full potential of your student, providing a tutor who is not only a skilled instructor, but also an appropriate role model for teenagers and young adults. Whether a student receives poor instruction in school, feels uninspired, or overburdened with work, our tutors address each student’s specific needs and goals, many of which are overlooked in a classroom setting.

Curriculum: The ICG Approach

Intensively trained ICG instructors analyze each student’s academic profile, and help foster scholarly confidence while honing in on the student’s individual strengths and weaknesses.  In order to deliver this level of customized service, we differentiate our curriculum for each student to meet his or her specific needs by employing a variety of ICG’s proprietary materials, including vocabulary enrichment exercises, skill drills for math and writing, and thorough guidelines and samples for effective essay writing.  In addition to creating standardized test-prep materials, we have thoroughly researched coursework at top-tiered high schools in New York City, and developed customized materials to help our valued students study for each school’s curriculum.
